For private conversations: text, emoji, photos and voice messages are encrypted on the sending device. Kireli’s servers store ciphertext. There is no quiet administrator key.

- This applies to private conversations, not ordinary Space posts and album photos.
- Kireli still processes metadata: who talks to whom, when, that an attachment exists, and which reaction kind belongs to a message — not the message text.
- It is not anonymous and not metadata-free.
